Thomas J. Corcoran High School Class of 1982

20-Year Reunion

The Reunion took place on Saturday, November 30, 2002, at The Phantom Club, 414 South Clinton Street in Armory Square, downtown Syracuse.  The bar is owned by Tom Taylor and decorated to look like "The Phantom of the Opera".  Really cool decor, with hidden bathroom doors (hint: it looks like a book case).   About 160 classmates (including spouses) attended.  The food was great.  We didn't run out of beer.  There was only one fight, which broke up quickly and caused no damage.  A professional photographer was on hand to take a group photo of the entire class.

Thank you to those who sent in their money on time.  The bigger surprise was how many people just showed up at the door.  It was great to see everyone, even though many of you were difficult to recognize!  Thanks for the name tags Dafrine!

The decorations were great.  I enjoyed the 80's trivia and the old photos.  (If you mail me the old photos, I will put them on the web site)  Although it brought sad memories, it was nice to see the deceased classmates were remembered on a photo display.

Music was provided by the very talented Marc Macri, and also Kevin Sexton and Mark Del Favero.  They all sounded just great.

It was interesting to see how people had changed over the years, or in some cases, not changed at all (Anne Bornhorst, Laurie Michaels.  Everyone was checking out their old flames.

Are you interested in being included in a reunion book (basically a current address book) of 1982 graduates?  Send us your name, spouses name, number of kids,  address, phone, and e-mail.

We would like to thank Tom Taylor at the Phantom Club for allowing us to go ahead with this event without requiring a down payment, and Alan Ianuzi for donating the mailing supplies. We would also like to thank everyone that has already contributed to our fund.
